FAQ
- Why soy wax and cotton wicks?
Our vision was to produce a candle with a more clean burn and as natural as possible. "Clean burn" also includes no sooting and no black rings around the top of your jar as long as you follow the care instructions.
- Are your candles really hand poured?
Candles are hand poured in small batches by the owners unstable hands and not a machine. This is why wax levels in the jar may seem to stop at different places but the net weight is the same.
- Why is one of my candles/melts more yellow than the other?
Some of the scents may include vanillin which tend to turn the candles a yellow color. If that isn't the case, make sure that your candle is out of direct sunlight. This could cause discoloration as well.
- After burning my candle, why do my candle have craters and holes in it?
This is the nature of soy wax. This look does not affect the quality of the burn or scent. This is how you know that it's 100% soy. Frosting also occurs with natural soy wax.
- What are scent notes?
Scent notes are the different scents that you may smell while burning the candle or wax melt. For example, during the first melt you may smell the Vanilla and the second melt you may smell Jasmine. Then all the goodness may comes together.
- How do I trim the wick?
You can trim the wick by using a wick trimmer, scissors or even nail clippers. Be sure that it's 1/4 inch above the wax.
- Why is the number of ounces on the website different from what's on the label?
The number of ounces on the website is the total weight including the jar, wax and oil. The number of ounces on the label is the net weight of the contents inside the container. Label guidelines require the net weight to be on the label.
